Biography
Frances Evans
Frances studied for a law degree at University of Strathclyde and began her legal training with McGrigors in 2001. Following this she began work with MacRoberts Solicitors in Glasgow as a an assistant in the Commercial Property Department for a period of around two years after qualification she moved to Maclay Murray & Spens in Glasgow to take up post as a senior solicitor where she remained until June 2010. She joined Dundas & Wilson in Glasgow as an Associate for a short period prior to joining The Commercial law Practice in Aberdeen as a Partner in February 2012. Frances moved on to be a partner with The McKinstry Company in Ayr and remained until March 2021 when she set up her own practice Frances Evans Commercial Law Practice.
Frances has considerable commercial acumen which she brings to the fore for the benefit of her clients and has solid legal experience in the following areas:
• commercial property acquisitions and sales;
• agreements for lease;
• lease transactions (acting for both landlords and tenants);
• property finance;
• property development; and
• corporate matters including business restructuring, company formations, sales and purchases of shares and filings at Companies House.
David Evans
David studied Risk Management and achieved a BA(Honours) in Risk Management he then followed this with post graduate study and obtained and LLB and completed the Diploma in Legal Practice at Strathclyde University . David works alongside Frances working in commercial sales and purchases of businesses and commercial property. David also has experience of real estate finance having acted for large commercial lenders.
